OUR LIFE

Sue O’Donnell. 10.07.20

“The LORD is my strength and my song, He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.” (Exodus 15 v 2)

Christ is supreme, no dream,

But the living Word of God

Come amongst us as God’s promise,

Full of wisdom and truth.

Jesus reveals God’s faithfulness,

His steadfast loving kindness,

Benefitting us by blessing us.

Jesus, the name above all names,

Reigns over humanity

As Christ the King,

Able to transform our being.

Our existence is richly blessed

When possessed by Christ Jesus.

Reformation is our transformation,

As the Spirit aids us

To abandon all sinfulness,

According to the triumph

Of the redemptive †of Jesus.

Jesus shows such love for us

Our humanity is renewed by this.

Love amazing is our favour.

We triumph over sinfulness.

Praying to and through Christ Jesus,

As He sends us the Spirit.

This is the invaluable Spirit,

Love come from above.

The true love given to us

-So much emanates from the †-

Is the love we offer back in worship.

Our worship must be in Jesus,

Offered through and by the Spirit.

Be brought up by love’s gifting.

Be caught up by love’s empowering.

Holy is our Lord.

Holy is God’s Word,

To be honoured and adored,

Delighted in, excited by.

Blessed be the holy Trinity,

The almighty Three, our salvation.

Redemption, God’s rescue plan for man,

We rejoice in God’s love for us.

Miraculous His outpouring of love,

An abounding, astonishing, amazing love.

All godliness is love

Come direct from above.

Pure love emanates from the Trinity.

Let love be their family’s response,

Rendered in words of worship

And acts of all loving Ministry,

That through our careful care

Many know and share the love of the Lord Jesus.

“The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want... He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” (Psalm 23 v 1, 3)

“You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the LORD with my voice and He heard me...” (Psalm 3 v, 3, 4)

For Father, You are the Deliverer always springing to the aid of Your troubled, sin burdened people. Heavy was my soul within me until You intervened so mercifully.

I had to learn that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour, a personal friend whose presence is invaluable to us.

Thank You for the way in which Jesus as Lord, Word and Master rebuilds our life and how this is learned from the input of the Spirit.

As I pray for all those who do not know how to abate satan’s power, by calling on the Holy Spirit, I say ‘Please pray,’ for this is how godly results evolve. Thank You that prayer rescues and strengthens us from the world’s influence. Yes, all peoples, please, please pray!

“The steps of a good (wo)man are ordered by the LORD,” (Psalm 37 v 23) You as a Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, more than ready to help us, thank You.

You do this out of mercy and because You know that to live a holy life equates with the highest happiness, making you delight in our spiritual progress.

We falter and fail all too readily, but You are merciful Father God. “Though we fall we shall not be utterly cast down, for You will uphold us” (based on v 24) through Jesus, by the Spirit.

You long for our total, unfailing fellowship, whereby we will daily enjoy the experience of being a Christian in service. Thank You for making this possible.

May we, inspired by the love of the Lord Jesus and the impact of the Spirit, “Depart from evil and do good.” (v 27) Thank You that we never have to struggle alone, for as a Trinity You are always with us.

We need to learn to live by the law of love that in our highest regard for You as a Trinity “None of our steps shall slide” (based on v 31) for we become ardent in faith, zealous in our efforts to serve well.

“Mark the blameless (wo)man and observe the upright one” (v 37) is very good advice for us. “For the future of that (wo)man is peace,” (Cont) the peace that Lord Jesus has won for us.

“Having been justified by faith, we have peace” (Romans 5 v 1) with You, Lord God, “Through our Lord Jesus Christ.” We are of all peoples most blessed through Your friendship. This is “The perfect love which casts out fear.” (1 John 4 v 18)

Oh that we all could experience this by following the example of Jesus as keenly as possible, this love is consummated. “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as He is, so are we in the world.” (1 John 4 v 17)

Just as Your beloved Son is well pleasing to You Father God, we must strive to be likewise. Then we will have confidence in approaching You, daring to ask for mercy whenever this is needed.

Love for the Trinity, shown by our every attitude towards each other, this must become our consuming fire. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the

world – our faith.” (1 John 5 v 4)

May we be overcomers by believing in the Lord Jesus, Your Word of life to us, Your living Promise, our Saviour and Redeemer as “(S)he who has the Son has life” (v 12) a life with godly purpose now, daily, and the hope of an eternal friendship where we will delight in You, as a Trinity, honour You and praise You forever.

Oh it is so wonderful to have gained a Saviour, and this by grace, not by works. Thank You for so richly blessing us by possessing us as saints in the making. All praise be to the glory of the Trinity.

“We know that the Son of God has come” entering our life by invitation, “And has given us an understanding” (v 20) by releasing the Holy Spirit of blessing to us.

“That we may know Him who is true” adhere to Him faithfully, prayerfully, all by the power of holy love “And we are in Him who is true...” (Cont.) What happiness is this!

Dearest Father, merciful Lord, we live in You, through Your Son our Saviour and Brother, by means of the sanctifying Spirit “Now hope does not disappoint” (Romans 5 v 5) it cannot.

Failure is impossible for all who become followers of the Man from heaven, the Divine Healer justifying our hope, underlining and emboldening this by the Spirit “Because Your love Father God, has been poured out...” (Cont.)

The Holy Spirit enters our heart, mind, will, conscience and decision making, enabling us to meet with our Saviour Lord, form a personal friendship and thereby worship You, dearest Father. This is our life, an eternal life. Ever we will delight in You and Your invitation to live alongside You closely. How richly blessed we are. Amen.
